Our Team

Silvio Marcacci, Principal

Silvio has twelve years’ experience in media relations, online communications, community outreach and government relations. He contributes, and contributes to several energy and climate-focused websites, including CleanTechnica, The Energy Collective, Grist, Earth & Industry, and Planet Forward.

He founded Marcacci Communications in January 2012 and has led all client strategy, development, and campaigns conducted by the company including public outreach, social media community management, website design and development, and video production.

Before starting Marcacci Communications, Silvio was Director of Outreach and Public Relations for energyNOW!, a nationally broadcast television show focused on energy and climate issues. He helped create an audience of several hundred thousand television and online viewers per month, negotiated cross-promotional partnerships with energy-related websites, built a 60,000-member social media community, produced and edited scores of videos, secured hundreds of show mentions in media outlets, and negotiated an online video distribution agreement with AOL/Huffington Post.

Silvio joined energyNOW! from the Washington, D.C. office of international public relations firm Fleishman-Hillard, where he managed multiple award-winning campaigns for clients in the energy, environment and sustainability industries. He began his career in New Jersey government and politics, including work in the governor’s office and several statewide political campaigns.
